**Flabbergasted* \- to feel extremely shocked, surprised, or astonished, often to the point of being speechless.*

That is the only word to describe my emotions after Week 2\. It was a struggle! From the low accuracy rate for KitaBita’s Picks this week to the season-threatening injuries and everything in between - WOW!

As a Commanders fan, WHAT IN THE WORLD! Another season of this?!? We can’t even think about building anything since we can’t seem to stay healthy. And say what you want about what Jayden needs to do. It is what it is at this point. The whole organization needs to pivot and try to salvage whatever we can for the rest of the season.

Anyway, KitaBita’s Picks took quite a few hits this week. Of course, my most *painful* red X was the Commanders’ loss to the Cowgirls. But when your quarterback, your leader, goes out right as the momentum of the game is turning, what else do you expect? My team notwithstanding, however, the Ravens’ loss to the Saints was more likely my most *significant* red X this week. Taking the lead in the 4th quarter and then sealing the win with an interception – great job Saints.

Maybe it’s just me, but I am not as excited about breaking down KitaBita’s specifics for Week 2 as I was for Week 1\. If I had to guess where the reluctance is coming from, it’s probably my anger about my Commanders and the overwhelming likelihood of another less-than-favorable season. Nevertheless, here it goes…

**Quarterback of the Week: Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs)**

KitaBita’s QB of Week 2 is the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes. His 382 yards passing and three touchdowns helped to secure a 33-30 overtime victory over the Colts.

**Offense of the Week: Buffalo Bills**The Best Offense of Week 2 must go to the Bills again. With 5 touchdowns and 446 total yards in their win over the Lions, Josh Allen and the Bills are putting the league on notice. Beware!

**Defense of the Week: Seattle Seahawks**

Let’s hear it for the Seahawks! Blah blah blah… No, but seriously, in a game that was tied at 7 at the half, the Seahawks defense kept the Cardinal from scoring at all in the second half. In fact, the Seahawks only gave up 165 total offensive yards. This dynamic defense seems to be developing a pattern yet again this season. I guess I will have to keep hearing Lumpy’s (my youngest son) mouth.

**Game of the Week: Raiders vs. Chargers**

The Raiders’ surprising win over the Chargers was an exciting game on Sunday. With nearly identical total offensive yards from both teams (Raiders – 310 total yards; and Chargers – 319 total yards), the Raiders were still able to hold the Chargers to 14 points. This is quite a feat for any team on the road, but especially for the Raiders who haven’t had a winning record since the 2021 season, winning only 7 of their last 34 games (20.59%).

After the many struggles of Week 2, I am more than a little hopeful for what Week 3 will bring. What are you looking forward to most for Week 3? Don’t forget to comment, subscribe and share!
